What type of content is best for LinkedIn?

Every week I write a blog to help you to create content for LinkedIn. You can also use these ideas on your other channels, but as the #15MinuteGuy on LinkedIn I guess I will always favour this incredible platform.

I have come up with some ideas for you this week including one that always moves me, the Uni thing.

Creating content doesn't have to be taxing, but it is important to make sure that you do try to create some personal content. This will get you noticed and people will know more about you and what you do. How on earth will anyone know what you do if you hide your talents under a bushel?

Don't forget that with only 1% of LinkedIn users creating content it won't be long before you get noticed too.

Here are my ideas for you this week.

FIVE Ideas for creating content - week 38!

Off to University Every year I feel for all the families going through this huge event as their young adults fly the nest. Are you doing it this year? What are you looking forward to? What are you dreading? Talk about the preparation that you've made, like teaching your youngsters to cook, or manage money. Have you given them sage advice? If you've done it before, why not share some top tips. We cannot think of everything; this is a huge change for everyone involved. Adult Learners Week As we all go back to school why not enrol yourself in something? Talk about what you've done in the past or anything that you'd like to do. See what courses are local and talk about them. Is this something that you do every September? There are so many courses available, maybe do a post about what's on in your local area. London Design Week This week is engineered to get people to see London as the design capital, but you do not need to live or work in Londo to appreciate great design. Is there great design in your local area? What sort of things do you appreciate with design? It could even be closer to home with your re-brand project or some of your clients who are in this space. Great opportunities for photo posts showing some of the designs that you love. Or why not share some of your designs? Is it Autumn yet? The nights are drawing in and it's a bit fresh first thing on my morning walks. Have you fired up the central heating yet? Has it been serviced recently? Are you still in shorts and T-shirts or have you got your winter wardrobe out yet? What is your favourite season? Do love crunching through leaves on your forest walks or do you yearn for the summer again? What things are you looking forward to as we get into autumn? Photo Share I went to the local car show at the weekend and took some photos of the cars. I then put them into a document post to share on LinkedIn. This is another way to share your photos and get different engagement. What photo's have you taken that would be of interest to people? Are you an interior designer, or property seller? Do you have different products, or what about famous landmarks in your local area? So many possibilities and the document post on LinkedIn makes it dead easy for people to have a look. Here's how to do a document post. I hope that you'll be able to draw some inspiration from these ideas and create some content. If you'd like me to review your content this week, drop me a direct message on LinkedIn with a link to your post and I'll happily have a look, comment and give you some feedback if you ask me. Don't forget that every week I turn this into a video for my Monday LinkedIn Post, obviously, it's Tuesday but the video means that people can consume my content in different ways and with video, I am real and come alive. Have you tried video yet? You can find my week 38 video here. I am here to help so if you have any questions please drop me a DM on LinkedIn. Good luck this week.
