We have a gig this evening so I used a band photo to add some colour and then asked the question about how people are so busy.
Weekends are an odd time for content and I do my content a little later on a Saturday too. I feel a photo on a Saturday helps a bit.

What are you up to today?
Are you feeling a little stressed? Or is everything rosy in your world?
💚 Is today the last run around the shops for you?
💛 Do you have your Staff Christmas Party?
💚 Is it tree-up day in your house?
💛 Or are you waiting in anticipation of the football tonight?
💚 Maybe you are sneaking off on a cheeky little break.
This time of year there is so much to do. We all run around like crazy trying to fit everything in and please as many people as we can.
See if you can take five minutes and stop a while. It'll all work out.
We're still celebrating our daughter's 30th birthday (the youngest couldn't make it as she moves house on Tuesday)
Plus we're helping the little one to move. Not sure why our house is full of boxes, but hey, you help where you can eh?
And tonight Static Charge are playing at The Balfour Arms here in Sidmouth.
This is a band where I am the singer and Alex McLachlan is our awesome Bass Player.
We'll be having to be flexible as we were supposed to start a bit earlier, but I guess people will be wanting to watch the football.
I hope that you have a productive and fun weekend and don't get too stressed.
As for the football.... both matches went to penalties.. Should we be worried 🤮
Go on then, let me know what you're up to.
What are your predictions for the match this evening?

It’s Christmas and having just got back from holiday I was behind with the festivities so I decided that I would share how to add a Santa hat.
I did a little video and added it to my content.
Added a few words and then I had some lovely comments. I also uploaded the video to my YouTube Channel

How was your Saturday night?
Do you want cheering up because the result last night wasn't what you were hoping for?
This little video will show you how to add a Santa Hat 🧑🎄 to your LinkedIn Profile Picture. It's dead easy and a bit of fun.
You can use this for any image that you have across social media!
But if you struggle then send me your photo via a LinkedIn Direct Message and I'll add it for you. (Please allow me 24 hrs to do this as I am helping my daughter to move today)
This is my first video that uses the LinkedIn autogenerated captions so now there is no excuse to add your own captions. 🤞
I look forward to seeing more Santa hats over the next few days.
Have a fantastic Sunday

We were in Morocco for some birthday celebrations so I thought that I would mix things up and do a video on the beach with Camels in the background. When you create video content it is important to have different backgrounds. I have noticed that when the sun is shining and I have the sea behind me in my videos that I get more views and engagement.
It didn’t work as well as I had hoped, but then you have to factor in the fact that for many this is the last week before we break up for Christmas.

Do you struggle with ideas on what to write about on LinkedIn?
Do you want some tips to help you become a creator?
Every week this year (Even when I am in Morocco 🇲🇦 🐪 ) I have produced a video to give you 5 ideas.
Here are my suggestions for this week!
✅ Planning for 2023.
✅ Family Christmas Traditions
✅ Pantomimes.
✅ Last working week of 2022?
✅ Tax Returns.
I go into greater detail in the video
Content is everywhere. Just look for it.
Have a great week and try to create some content. Even if it is talking about the number of Santa hats that you'll be seeing here!

OMG. So many people are slaves to the algorithm. I cannot believe why we feel we need to be on social media all the time. I had one of my lovely contacts reach out and ask if she could take time off LinkedIn for Christmas or if it would this damage her reach.
Does it matter?
Surely being present at Christmas is more important?
Heres my post on this topic.
Are you worried about stopping your LinkedIn activity over the holidays?
Do you want to switch off for the festive season?
I guess we are all feeling a little busy or overwhelmed at the moment eh?
I had an interesting question from one of my lovely connections yesterday.
"𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘨𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴? 𝘐𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘦?"
As you know, I am all about balance. So this was my answer.
"Depends
What's more important?
That you switch off or you have a few more likes or followers?
It will all still be here when you get back you know. 😁 "
This is my personal opinion, but what do you reckon?
I never worry about the algorithm. I worry about being present and consistent. I make sure that I show up as ME.
The amazing © Richard van der Blom released his Annual Algorithm report recently and here is what he says.
"𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 (𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒎 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒂 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌), 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒂 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 4 - 5 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 30% 𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆. 𝑺𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒌𝒆𝒚!
We need to switch off. We need a break.
And he echoes my consistent badge! ✅
What better time to switch off than the holidays when everyone else will be switching off?
Do what you feel is right for you.
It's only a week or two and Richard says a month. I took a whole week off when I went away in May and it has not damaged anything that I do and my business was still here.
Have a fantastic break and enjoy the downtime.
What are you planning to do over the next few weeks?

I had an interesting question from one of my clients this week and it got me thinking about how people are reacting to their relationship with Social Media.
To me, content is dead easy and I will just post what I like. I never think about it, I just go for it and I guess this is why I wrote my first book. 101 Ideas for LinkedIn - Content Made Easy https://15mins.day/book It was to help people with simple ideas to just create content. Content is everywhere so why not write about what you see?
I also suggest that even once a week has a great effect on the way that we use LinkedIn.
Here is that post.
Are you an OVERTHINKER?
Do you worry too much about what you do online that you do NOTHING?
Funny eh?
I work with many people trying to do good things on LinkedIn and I am always surprised, and I am learning every day too.
As a coach, I get to get very close to people and really get a feel for their inner debates. It's very enlightening.
But the biggest thing that I notice is overthinking.
The overcomplicating of simple things like creating content or adding comments.
One of my 1:1 clients went crazy and did loads of content over a period of time. A bit like the person who starts running and goes out every day to do a 5K.
They burnt out and have not done much since.
We have to be consistent on here.
The same with fitness.
That's why they have the couch to 5k.
If you have been on any of my LinkedIn Daily Habit Workshops you'll know that I encourage you to get on here to comment and just create one post per week and build that up over time.
LinkedIn is a long game.
Posting every day for a month and then doing nothing has little effect.
But posting at the same time every week will show consistency and those 30 content nuggets will last you more than half a year!!
OR, if you post 3 times a week you have 10 weeks of content.
Stop overthinking and just create something.
What tips have you got to help people to get out of their overthinking bubbles?

I have an exciting guest on my show next week and we are talking about vision boards. So to try to get more interest in the show I thought about writing about Vision Boards to see what people thought.
When I normally do a show I just create the event in my Streaming software (I use Streamyard so if you want some ideas on how it works, please get in touch)
The event posts on LinkedIn do not have great reach, but they are good because you can invite people to join you at the event and then the back end allows you to message them.
So here is that post that just went wild! Should be a good show on Tuesday eh?
Do you have a vision board? Or are they just Woo Woo?
Are you planning your 2023 yet?
Did your 2022 vision board work out? Let us know.
There are some great stories about vision boards and some great experts out there too (The lovely Lorraine Stamp springs to mind)
But what if we are not an expert?
What if we think it is just mumbo jumbo?
Is this you?
Me too 🤦♂️. Sorry, just saying.
BUT, and it's a big BUT
I am intrigued by how our mind works.
My super friend Lisa Bailey-Brown has been sharing how her vision board has worked for her.
So I reached out and we had a chat. Lisa is so lovely and was telling me how pretty much everything on her amazing board has worked out.
She explained how she set it up and me being me I asked if she'd share it with everyone else via my Live LinkedIn Show.
SHE SAID YES.
So next week as a Christmas Special I will be chatting with Lisa and she'll be sharing exactly what she did.
If it works for Lisa, then why can't it work for us?
Please let me know what you think about vision boards and if they have worked for you.

FRIDAY 16 December 1,750 impressions
It’s Friday Thanks. I theme my posts so every Monday I do a video to help people with Content Ideas and Fridays I have started a Gratitude Post.
It’s really growing legs and as a result, I see a few more similar posts popping up on my feed.
Why don't you try it?

What are YOUR highlights for this week? How did it go?
⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️
In case you don't know, Each Friday I share my gratitude and thanks to all the fantastic people in my network who have lifted me up over the last week.
Who or what has impacted your week?
First off is the senders of the lovely box of choccies in the photo. The delightful Zoe Whitman FCCA and Jo Wood.
They have grown The 6 Figure Bookkeeper and supported and inspired thousands of lovely Accountants & Bookkeepers this year and I have been so fortunate to be part of their extended team.
My business has grown as a result of working with Zoe and Jo, and so have I. So to get a little reminder in the post this week was perfect. Thank you ZoJo ❤️
Thank you to the lovely superstars on my 26th LinkedIn Daily Habit Workshop. What an awesome group!!
Whilst everyone else is running around having festive fun, these cohorts have worked diligently and have grown their LinkedIn knowledge as well as their connections and confidence.
Thank you Cohort 26 🙏 ❤️
A big up to all the lovely musicians from our Open Mic last night. We had a great evening singing Christmas songs and a cracking jam where the whole pub was singing at the end.
I love connecting with these guys once a month, music is so good for the soul!! (you missed a doozy Odessa 🤦♂️ )
Thank you also to Lois Cliff and Tracy Bedwell for your lovely comments and posts about my book. I am so pleased that you are getting value, but seeing a testimonial post out of the blue is so heartwarming. Thank you 🙏 ⭐️
I hope that you can see some good this week and have time to reflect on where you are.
It may only be 1% further forward, but at least you are making progress. Reminding ourselves of the good things in life it makes us realise how lucky we are.
What are you grateful for?

What a great week of engagement and impressions. I’m guessing it is quieter because of the Christmas rush, but how lucky am I?
It was lovely to be back and get out there properly. I was super busy too with my workshops, which I guess also helps engagement.

Last Week 16,548 impressions and 642 engagements

This week 21,072 impressions UP 13,5% and 701 engagements up nearly 1%
