What Content Works Best On LinkedIn

Welcome Back

Wow, that was a crazy week. Since I last wrote The Monday Nudge I have done street theatre, been to see some fantastic bands and performed in four gigs in my various bands.

Yes I am shattered, but still buzzing. How was your week? Do you share what you have been up to? People love to know what you get up to. It's sharing the real you and if you share enough people will identify more with you.

Here's an example for you. Do you play football? If you do and I also play football we have something in common. Other people will not care, but for all those football fans out there, you are more like them and now they will identify with you more.

I'd be interested to hear how you are getting on with your content and if you like this Monday Nudge. Let me know your thoughts, suggestions and ideas of what else I can do to help by dropping me a quick email

Have a fantastic week!!

Here are my ideas for Content this week.

If you are on holiday you know that it's okay to have a week or two off social media, don't you?

It'll all be here when you get back!

Take some time out and have a break, but don't stop thinking about content. Take photos, write notes and think about what you'd like to be reading. If you've got a book on the go, then that could even be a source of great content.

Content is everywhere, so just keep an eye out.

And enjoy some time away from LinkedIn. It's ok, you have my permission

A-Level Results Day

Arrghhh. Do you have teenagers? Are they a little on edge this week? With the results coming on Thursday, what will you be doing? Do you have advice for parents going through this or advice to youngsters about to get the email with their results? Or maybe write a post based upon your experiences of how you didn't get the grades, but look at me now!!

Plan B

Following on from above do you ever have a plan B? In case something doesn't work out, do you have a backup plan? What back up plans have been the better thing in your life? Share how your Plan B was awesome. Or maybe you do not subscribe to this idea and go all in on Plan A. Share your thoughts and experiences of mastering a plan.

Give a Shout Out

Who has helped you? Maybe a family member over the holidays, a great customer, or one of your contacts has given you a wonderful referral? You may have had great service from someone, so please share how awesome they are. I actually do this every week on my Friday Thanks post. Who has inspired you this week?

10,000 Steps a Day

Do you walk regularly? If you have been reading my content you'll know I love walking and average around 14K steps a day. But having just seen this should I bother? Why not talk about your health and fitness regimes and habits or share some of the highlights from this short health article? Talk about what you do and the benefits you get from doing so.

Serendipity Day 18th August

It's funny what you find when curating a list like this every week. What serendipitous moments have you had? Special friendship because of a sliding doors moment? Being on a Zoom call, or maybe catching the wrong train. What 'happy accidents' have happened to you? Some things are just meant to be, aren't they? Come on, share yours.

I hope that these ideas spur you on to create a bit of content this week.

It's important to create content, but start doing it just once a week and build up to about three posts per week.

You do not need to be creating content EVERY day. It's exhausting.

If you get stuck, please shout and don't forget my book, 101 Ideas for LinkedIn - Content Made Easy available for just £8.99 on Amazon. More of these ideas, tips on writing and handy tables to help you with re-purposing your content.

Have a wonderful week.

Remember what you need to do each day? It's all about creating a habit!
