What Content Works Best on LinkedIn?

Updated: Mar 28

Every Week I give you some ideas to help you to create content

What time is it? Did you change your clocks?

How are you doing? What a week. Cracking LinkedIn Local in Sidmouth and then I was giving a Keynote talk at an accounting conference in Solihull. I'm off to the local college today to give some careers advice. Me?

Are you still creating content?

I asked ChatGPT for some reasons to WRITE CONTENT

Here you go- This is AI content creation.

Creating content is like throwing a party. Imagine you're hosting a party and you want your friends to have a great time. You need to plan everything, from the decorations to the snacks, to keep your guests entertained.

Now, imagine that your friends are the people on the internet, and your party is the content you create. Just like a party, you want to make your content engaging, informative, and fun. You want your audience to enjoy themselves and keep coming back for more!

But why is it so important to create content? Well, think about it this way - if you don't throw a party, your friends won't have anything to look forward to. Similarly, if you don't create content, your audience won't have a reason to visit your website or social media accounts.

Plus, creating content helps establish you as an expert in your field. Just like how everyone knows you throw the best parties in town, your audience will recognize you as a trusted source of information and entertainment.

So, if you want to build a following, share your knowledge and skills, and establish yourself as a go-to source in your industry, get your creative juices flowing and start creating content!

I hope that this puts a spring into your step and that you get to create content.

Have a great week!

Ashley

Here are this week's Topics for Content

Like I say quite often eh? Content is everywhere, so please use one of these ideas to spark an idea. Why not use Google? Or ChatGPT but ask the AI for ideas and not to create your content. You need to write the content so that it is your voice. Unless you know of an awesome content writer who can write in your style! Just aim to get one post out this week. Here you go......

The Clock Change

Did you put the clock forward yesterday? But I bet the car is wrong. Or is it correct for 6 months now . We've just had the change and although it's dark now, this evening it'll be light until gone 7:00 pm. Explain that to your little ones. There are loads that you can talk about with the changes we make twice a year. Does it affect your business? What do you like about the lighter evenings, should we still bother no days? Funny stories about being early for things, or even worse missing important things.

Weekend Working

I worked on Saturday. Not something I normally do but maybe you have to work the odd weekend too. Or maybe some Saturdays to hit a deadline. What do you like about weekend working, or dislike? Why do you do it or maybe you are in an industry that means that this is par for the course so what benefits do you get from this? As a trained chef who worked in hospitality for 10 years, I fully appreciate how lucky I am not to work weekends. Share your thoughts/

April Fools Day!

Do you get up early on 1 April to set up tricks and stunts around the house? Come on tell us what you do. What about sharing the stunt that backfired or the one where everybody still talks about it because it was brilliant? What companies do you like on 1 April because of their clever marketing? Have you used April Fools Day for marketing stunts? You've got a bit of warning now so why not think about a marketing campaign that you could do this year?

Wear a Hat Day

On Friday 31 March, it is Wear a Hat Day. A day to raise awareness for the Brain Tumor Research Foundation. Do you get involved? Do you have a funky hat? Or maybe you know someone who this affects? Do you do fundraising for this charity? Why not get everyone in the team to wear a hat and do a bit of fundraising in your office? Why do like hats? What stops you from wearing a hat?

Top Tech Tips

At my talk at the CIMA conference this week I shared tips about giving yourself more time at work. Specifically using software to automate processes and other things that we can use for shortcuts. One of my favourites is the text replacement tool on the iPhone and also on the Mac. (they actually sync so if you have the tex replacement set up it will be the same across all your Apple devices). What tools do you use that make your life easier that you could share with us?

Have a great week I am here to help if you have any questions. You know I want you to love I love LinkedIn I hope that these ideas inspire you to create some content this week. Remember........ By creating content you will stand out. People will see you as an expert and you'll get more connections! This Week's Video for you. Have fun! That's what it's about eh?
