What content is best for LinkedIn?
Every day I create content on my beloved LinkedIn. I do it to help people and to make sure that I am front of mind. Every Saturday I review what I have done and share it here on my blog.
It is turning into a decent library of content which I will be able to re-purpose but it also helps me with what I am doing so that I keep sharing good content. Maybe this would be a yearbook one day?
Let me know what you think. Please do not compare yourself to me. Compare yourself to the you of yesterday, last week or even last year. Are you making improvements?

Views This Week 1,421 Up but the chart says that I am 40% up? Views this week were massive. In July though I had a spike which I lost this week. Great to see that activity has increased this week. My public appearances this week have helped.

We had our carnival this week so I thought this would be a good topic to share how we are getting back to normal.
Do you have a carnival in your town?
What do you love about the carnival season? The fun of the fair, the celebration of the night sky or is it the coming together of the community?
I love this season.
We had our carnival last night. The first one for three years and it seemed like the whole town came out to celebrate.
We even met up with family and had a few beers and ended the night at The Radway Inn for some live music.
What a truly incredible spectacle to see so many floats with all their lights blazing and the sounds banging. How much work have they done?
Plus they raise so much money for charity with bucket collectors and the obligatory float with a target to throw your loose change!
Then when all that is over there was the fun fair. It's great to get back to normal after all the disruption of the past couple of years.
I hope that you have as much fun when the carnival comes to town!

I have a panel tonight. It will be a great event , but I wanted to drum up a bit of interest and also let people know that even though I look calm and confident that we all doubt what we do.
Here’s what I wrote
Is it scary sitting on a panel? Have you done it? Do you like watching panels?
Here are my thoughts on the trepidation that we may feel at being out in the open.
I've been asked to sit on a panel this evening and I cannot wait. Ok, I am a little nervous, but that's only because I care.
The way that I see it is that I wouldn't have been asked if the organiser didn't think I'd be able to help. I've been chosen because I know a lot about the subject matter.
Social Media. (LinkedIn Specifically for me)
The other experts know about Instagram and Tik Tok etc.
So we are all knowledgeable about social media which means that it will be a great discussion and wonderful networking opportunity too.
Many of the people coming tonight want to know more about the topic so may not know as much as us and if I get a difficult question, I'll just be honest and say that I do not know.
The best bit for me is all the networking before and after the formal bit. Be great to catch up with Lisa Bailey-Brown, the aweomse Vic Williams and Odessa Sherreard.
I'll obviously get to meet my co panelists James Brooks and Jonus Hawkins too.
Our host this evening is the delightful Becky Craven and she is 'paying us with CAKE'. What's not to love?

I keep being tagged in tag walls on people posts, but I do not think that they realise the ramifications, so here’s my attempt to explain what it means and why we should reduce the number of tags that we put into our content.

If you tag somebody in your post by hitting the @ sign and then adding their name they will get a notification.
Sounds great eh?
A guaranteed comment on your post. Fantastic if you tag them because they are an expert. They will feel touched that you think of them and share them with your network.
𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲?
If someone doesn't visit your post the algorithm will penalise you. If you tag multiple people and they do not comment either your penalties mean that you are harming all the hard work that you have done on here.
Please resist tagging multiple people, unless you know that they will comment on your post.
One or two is fine, but a whole wall of people? Is it really going to help?

I was on a panel this week and a fantastic event, so I obviously had to shout about it. I put the photos into a document post. It didn't do as well as other peoples posts so next time I have multiple photo’s I will do it differently.

Becky Craven has created a lovely event called the Exeter Creative Networking Hub and this Tuesday I was honoured to be asked to be part of the panel of social media experts.
We had a fantastic evening, I met some lovely people and caught up with some of my wonderful friends.
I even finally got to hug Lisa Bailey-Brown. You know what this Covid thing has been like.
The highlight for me was meeting the incredible James Brooks who was so passionate about Tik Tok and BEING BRAVE.
The questions from the floor got everyone thinking outside the box including me. You know that they? Every day is a school day and this day was one of those.

I'm sharing my gratitude today, well it is Friday eh?

It's so easy to just get on with things, but if we reflect we can see how far we have come and feel gratitude, for even the smallest of things.
I recently joined the 1% Club with John Lamerton and Jason Brockman to help push my business forward.
Their philosophy is to make 1% gains each week and I have done that this week. So my first thanks are to the two J's.
Thanks also to Becky Craven for her awesome Exeter Creative Networking Hub that I was a panellist for this Tuesday.
Thanks also to James Brooks and Jonus Hawkins for being super cool co-panellists.
