I was shocked by the news of Xero reducing it’s workforce by 15% so when Leigh Stallard came to me to ask for some help I jumped at the chance. We created a video and with Leighs awesome editing skills ge produced an incredible video where we help people to get more from their LinkedIn and how to optimize their LinkedIn profiles.
I then added this into a webpage with all my free resources.
Here’s the result of all that work.

Have you been made redundant in the past? How was it? What about now?
I've been made redundant THREE times in the past and although it was horrendous at the time it all worked out and in hindsight good things for me.
Do you have a similar story to share to give comfort to those facing redundancy today?
A big change can trigger all kinds of emotions and we obviously worry about the future, our families and how we pay those bills.
𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁. Please don't be afraid to ask. We are here to help 🤗
Hence this post today.
Following the news of huge redundancies by Xero, the wonderful Leigh Stallard has reached out to various people in his network to ask for help to put together support for these people.
The videos feature various experts, such as James Howell and others from different fields offering advice on what to do next and I know he has a few more in the pipeline including the inspirational Francesca Tricarico FMAAT
But Leigh has edited the videos to make them great to watch and packed with loads of tips and assistance. I am so proud of our video and his editing skills make me look like an expert!!!
I was honoured to be asked and our video is already out there. It also features links to my free resources to help people to optimise their LinkedIn profiles.
Inspired by Leigh I have created a page on my website to put everything in one location. I've called it Help For Xeros and you can find it here https://15mins.day/xeros
Please feel free to share this page or video with anyone you see facing redundancy.
But more importantly, if you have a good news story of how redundancy turned out to be the best thing for you, please share it here to inspire and encourage people to take positive action.
Thank you 🙏. Please shout if I can help.

I was at a family wedding this weekend but enjoyed the free bar a bit too much.
So why not reach out to my friends for some advice and also show that I am human too.

Do you have a brilliant hangover cure please?
This was me at my nieces wedding yesterday as we were meeting and greeting
I cannot share all the photos, but suffice to say I had an incredible time
I may have had one beer too many 🤢
So if you have any remedies that’ll get me feeling human again I’ll love you forever 💚💛

It’s Monday. VIDEO DAY!!

It's the 1st Day of SPRING today and here are your 5 ideas for content.
Do you struggle with ideas? In my video, I give you suggestions for creating content to help you stand out on LinkedIn.
What content works on LinkedIn?
With only 1% of LinkedIn users creating their own content you'll soon be making a name for yourself and being front of mind.
When you are in business people need to know, like and trust you. When we build up this trust it becomes easier to do business and people come to us rather than us chasing them.
Who doesn't want that?
My ideas this week are as follows, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼.
💚 Uniform
💛 Spring starts TODAY 🥳
💚 Decorating
💛 Mastermind
💚 Conferences
If you want a hand or get stuck then please reach out because I want to help you to love LinkedIn.
Have a fantastic week and happy spring 🤗

I wanted to find out who used photos in their content because for me it’s a huge part of what I do. So I created a multi-photo post rather than a collage. Easier to see them in higher resolution.

Do you use photos on LinkedIn? Do they get you more reach?
Are they any good?
It's all about photos for me this week.
Following the wedding at the weekend and everything happening this week, I was wondering how you are doing with your photos.
Odessa Sherreard and I have our LinkedIn Local in Sidmouth this week and we have the lovely Aisling ( Ash-ling ) Magill coming along to take your headshot for LinkedIn and your website.
We've asked Aisling along, not only because she is brilliant, but because I see so many out-of-date and poorly lit profile pictures on LinkedIn I wanted to offer something to people when they turn up on Thursday.
People buy from people whom they know, like, and trust so how on earth can we trust you if your profile picture is out of focus or something cropped from a wedding photo? 🤦♂️
Aisling has been taking my photos ever since I set up and I cannot wait to share her this Thursday!
But what if you want to take your own photos? Should you take your own photos or should you use a professional?
I think it's a mixture of both as you can see from the examples below.
I have another friend who teaches us how to take better photos using just our phones. Do you know Becky Craven?
You need to get in contact with her too. She makes learning fun and has a course coming up next week where you can learn how to take better photos.
It's her Smartphone Photography and Video Content Creation Workshop for a whole day in Exeter next week!!
What other tips do you have for taking better photos and do you know any other marvellous photography types that you can shout out?
What's your best photo or biggest mistake photo? Come on, share them here!

And talking of photos this one was the best from the wedding so why not use it in a post? It shows me all dressed up and also the woman behind what I do. I’d be nothing without the unwavering support from my lovely wife.
As a LinkedIn trainer, many people know what I do when I meet them at business events. But at weddings when you talk to many generations it becomes a difficult thing to talk about so I wondered what other people say about their jobs.
This post brought up all kinds of comments.

What do you do? How do you answer this question at a wedding?
We were at a wedding at the weekend and several people whom I spoke to asked that question.
How do you answer?
How do you explain a LinkedIn coach? 😂.
In fact, when you are at a wedding you are speaking to all kinds of different people who are not in your world so how do you explain what you do?
How do you explain to your elderly grandmother what you actually do on a day-to-day basis?
How does writing a book about creating content sound interesting and how on earth do you explain to someone what a podcast is🤦♂️
This got me thinking about how we conduct ourselves when we are in different situations.
It's dead easy to say what you do at a business networking event eh?
So come on, if we are at a wedding how would you explain to my granny what you do?
I promise I won't laugh.

I have been speaking with a number of people recently who are feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressing about their business. So much so that I thought that I’d see what other people think about this post about Weebles

Have you had a wobble recently? Questions about what you are doing?
Don't worry you are not alone. Or immune. It can happy at any time to anyone.
I wrote about my wobble a couple of weeks ago and since then I've noticed more people saying the same.
💚 People who we think have their stuff together
💛 It Creeps up on us
💚 Overwhelm is real
But help is out there you know. Just reach out.
Here's what I did.
💛 I spoke to people who I knew really loved me, and cared about me.
💚 I cut things out of my life that didn't serve me
💛 I grew a pair and stood firm
💚 I started saying NO
I had some lovely chats and thank you for your time, you know who you are ❤️
❌ I also ignored some of the advice that I'd been given too and listened to my gut.
People can be well-meaning, but sometimes do they really have YOUR best interests at heart? Or do they just like the sound of their own voice?
There will always be someone in your network whom you can talk honestly with. Someone who has your back and someone who wants to see you shine and smile again.
Just reach out.
And if that person is me, you've got my number.
And remember
Weebles DO Wobble. But they don't fall down

FRIDAY 24 March 2,327 impressions
It’s Friday so I always do my Gratitude Post. Here you go. Do you do any regular content creation?

What are you grateful for this week? It's Friday, let's share the love!! ❤️
Who has been there for you this week? If we reflect on what's gone right we'll be happy and the things that are not so good seem better too!
Do you practice Gratitude?
⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️
If you remind yourself how things have gone and look for the positives you'll feel better.
Our brain is wired to look for the negatives, so this is a great way to reframe things that have happened.
Each Friday I share my gratitude and thanks to all the fantastic people who have been brilliant during the week.
Whom do you want to thank this week? 🙏
First off it's the wonderful Aisling ( Ash-ling ) Magill for being our official photographer and helping our LinkedIn Local gang to look gorgeous on LinkedIn. She's raising money so did it all for free, but would like some donations! thanks, Aisling, so lovely to see you. ❤️ 🙏
Next, it has to be Odessa Sherreard, not just for being part of the LinkedIn Local and sharing her content wisdom, but for kicking my butt this week too. Always great to have a cheerleader who cares, but even better that it's Odessa. Thank you ❤️ 🙏
Big shout out to the delightful Samantha Mitcham FMAAT for joining me on my live show this week. 15 Minutes for Accountants & Bookkeepers. I have just listened to the podcast and had a smile on my face the whole way through. Samantha, you are brilliant and such an inspiration to so many people. Including me. Thank you ❤️ 🙏
Finally BIG HUGE thanks to the wonderful Lorraine Ellison. Not just for the amazing work that she does for CIMA and all the lovely Members in Practice.
But for helping me to get booked to do the Closing Keynote Talk at the Spring Conference tomorrow in Solihull. How exciting is this? My new Yellow Shoes will get an outing too!!! Thank you so much Lorraine I cannot wait to see you shortly and excite and inspire the brave people in the room tomorrow. BOOM!!! ❤️ 🙏
I am truly blessed.
Please take stock and you'll see that you are blessed too.
Have a fantastic weekend. ❤️
