This is for two great reasons.
One to help me, but more importantly I want to share what I do so that you can see that it is not too difficult to create a bit of content.
You can see why I created the post, the actual content and how it performs and my thoughts on the week in general.
Views Last Week 1,975 viewers in the last 90 days. Only 162 people looking at my profile in the last week. Down on the previous week.
Views This Week Up a cracking 68% with a staggering 2,147 views and a crazy 350 people have looked at my profile this week. That is crazy and just shows what wearing a yellow T Shirt at a large accounting exhibition can do!!

This Week - 7,553 which means that I have added a massive 166 which goes to show that Accountex was worth it!!
527 Search appearances last week! 415 searches this week which has dropped. I guess that people are just finding me because I have been tagged in so many posts!

Today is Coronation Day for our new King, King Charles 3rd. As I was in London on Thursday I wandered down The Mall and took this phot and had a chat with these lovely people.
I thought it would make a good post.
When you are out and about, take your camera. You never know…..

I love how everyone is getting excited about the Coronation. It's not an everyday occurrence eh?
On our trip to London this Thursday we popped down to see Buckingham Palace and got talking to these lovely people.
I was keen to know why they were there a good 48 hours early.
Peter and his daughter Kate had come from the USA specifically to be here to watch this historic occasion.
As a proud Yorkshire man, Peter wanted to be here to witness events and soak up the atmosphere.
They've been to see their family in Yorkshire, but are now spending a few days sitting in the front row of the Mall with an awesome view of this incredible event.
The atmosphere was amazing on Thursday so I can only imagine what it must be like now.

I’m speaking at accountex this week so I thought that I ought to promote it.
I made it fun and used the image they had sent me in Canva to make it more personal. I also tagged in the people I was working with and also my book!
When are you mega excited? Is it your Birthday, or Christmas?
Or is it attending an Exhibition for Accountants & Bookkeepers?
I cannot contain my excitement. I'm like a kid at Christmas, I think I might even explode I'm so excited. 🥳
Spare a thought for Ben Tyler and Natalie Tipper from Payroll Sorted as I'll be with them for the whole two days on stand 430 giving a short talk about LinkedIn on the hour both days. 😂

Thursday is the day I have my Accountex Speaking debut.
OMG, how exciting is that?
I'll be sharing why Accountants & Bookkeepers need to be using LinkedIn and also how simple it is to do the basics.
So simple.
I'll be giving away my resources and having some LinkedIn fun with anyone who attends the talk.
I'm also intending to make someone LinkedIn famous on the day. So I'll be looking for a volunteer.

Only 856 this week so my other numbers were down. 16 Reactions, 13 comments, and 0 Reposts. This therefore means LESS actual video views. This week it was 245 views up a little watched by 217 viewers with only 73 minutes viewed that’s shocking.
This Week was better than last week. It wasn’t a bank holiday for a start and I was outside. I had 1,125 impressions, 22 Reactions, 11 comments, and 0 Reposts. Fortunately, this means MORE views. This week it was 358 views and watched by 319 viewers with 128 minutes viewed that’s better than last week, but not where we were before all the bank holidays. We need some sunshine!!

I was off to London to speak at Accountex so needed to create a bit of a buzz and interest in what I would be doing. So why not show a photo of my suitcase ready to go and ask a question around that rather than the actual event!
Obviously because of the YELLOW I had quite a bit of engagement!!
How soon before your trips do you pack?

There were going to be a lot of posts about Accountex so i wlked miles to get a photo of me infront of the ExcEl centre. I wanted people to visit our stand and also wanted to get people excited about my impending talk the next day.
A selfie always works as does an iconic background. I know its not iconic like the Taj Mahal, but for the accounting space this week it was!

It's Accountex today and we have many thousands of Accountants & Bookkeepers coming to the ExcEl Centre to find out the latest trends in the industry.
People will be networking.
There will be great talks from all kinds of industry leaders. Tax specialists. Neurodiverse and well-being gurus and even some guy talking about LinkedIn.
It's huge and this year I'm on the Payroll Sorted stand with Ben Tyler Natalie Tipper and Tammy Field
Come and say hi on Stand 430 where we have a golf simulator and my putting green where you can win a copy of my book by getting a hole-in-one.

Today is the biggest day for me. Speaking on the coveted Accountex Stage and as my talk was on at the same time as a few really big well-known speakers I was a little worried that it would be quiet for my slot.
I needn’t have worried.
It was standing-room only and I had an absolute blast. Was it because of the post? Maybe some people saw it, but what the post did was emphasise that I am a public speaker.
But also got people thinking about their own nerves and to see me struggling too shows me as just like them too.
We’re all the same and that’s why I love LinkedIn.

I will speak on one of the most coveted stages in accounting. That being Accountex 2023 here in London.
I am excited but nervous and cannot wait.
To some, it's just a slot in a packed agenda, just 45 minutes in a programme of over 180 hours of amazing speakers.
To me, it's the next stage of my fun-packed journey of running my own business. Time to jump into the spotlight and shine.
It's an endorsement that everything that I've done over the last couple of years was worth all the sleepless nights and shed tears.

As you probably know by now, every Friday I share my gratitude. It’s something I’ve been doing for a while, especially after I started my journal.
I’ve read quite a bit about gratitude and by showing gratitude we’re training our brain to see more good in the world.
Our brains are wired to protect us so focus on the negatives. By showing gratitude we do not have so much time to focus on the negative so the more we do it the more we see the good.
So, every Friday I share my gratitude.

For starters, it has to be the incredibly smiley Caroline Hobden and her amazing team. Wasn't Accountex 2023 the absolute best? I met so many amazing people and took so many photos. The whole show was an incredible event and there was so much love in the room. And every time I saw Caroline she was just beaming. Thank you, Caroline. I had a BLAST ❤️ 🙏 💥
Next up, Ben Tyler, Natalie Tipper and Tammy Field from Payroll Sorted for having me on their Award Winning Stand. I felt like one of the team. It was so great hanging out with everyone from the team over the two days as we also met Teo, Donna, Zach and Daniel. This is a fantastic team with a wonderful culture. I was quite emotional saying goodbye ❤️ 🥲. Thank you Gang 💚 💛 🙏

What are my thoughts on this week?
It’s been a fantastic crazy week and I managed to survive. My week on LinkedIn has been great, but as I was at the show I wasn’t able to interact as much as I normally do.
My impressions were down, which I think is due to the fact that many of my followers were also doing Accountex, but engagements were up to record levels. Over 1,000 reactions and comments are fantastic which in turn means many people are viewing my profile so my connection requests and follower numbers have shot up.
It’s all down to consistency.
Here is the breakdown.
Last week I had 29,715 impressions and a fantastic 786 engagements
This week it is 27,404 impressions but the engagements have gone crazy. Over 1,000 to give me 1,052.
That’s epic. These are people who have not only read my content, but they are adding something too.
This is what counts. As a percentage to my followers that’s not a bad ratio! 13.8%
This is where the magic happens!! I am commenting on other posts too so this gets people to see that I am active and therefore the algorithm is rewarding this activity.
