Content Ideas for LinkedIn Creating Content Every Day of the Year: Unveiling the Secrets to Success.

NEW WEEK Commencing 28 October

Creating content every day of the year. Here are the secrets behind my method.

Every Saturday I take a look at my content on LinkedIn and I review it. I look at how each post is performed.

I look at the comments. I look at the number of impressions. I generally have a review to make sure that my content is still working and people enjoy it.

This gives me a real insight into what’s happening and how I can improve what I do and more importantly help other people with my blogs, content and training.

I share loads of content to help people and have even written a book, but I am known for my 15-minute-a-day training and my VIP 1:1 sessions. By analysing everything each week I can deliver even greater value to my clients.

Profile Views;

Previous Week

My numbers last week dropped by 6%, down to 195 people viewing my profile. It was the first time my numbers had fallen below 200 in a few weeks. Interestingly, my content was performing well. However, the number of people who had viewed my profile in the previous 90 days was up again, reaching 2,254.

Views This Week My have remained static but with 203 people viewing my profile this week. Thai is up on last week although the last 90 days has seen the figure drip a little.

Total views in the last 90 days is 2,247

Followers

In the previous week my numbers were at 8,713 that’s 59 new followers.

This Week - 8,785 that’s 72 new followers this week. Up again on last week! Profile views have been higher.

866 Search appearances for the previous week and 856 searches this week. Down a tad!

Follows Last Week 174

Follows This Week 174 no change. This has been static for a few months

SATURDAY 28 October 1,897 Impressions

So, this week I started off with Saturday when I was working. I had a training session early and I wondered how many other people work on a Saturday. I do a few little things on the weekend, like this for example, but last Saturday it was booked and paid for.

When I went for a walk around 7:00 am I noticed other people working and so I asked the question. To get a bit more engagement I used a selfie.

Do you work at weekends?

I’ve just had an amazing training session with Manmeet Kaur.

It’s a Saturday 🤦

So why?

Why do we work on a weekend? It’s my choice. It fits in with my plans.

And on my walk this morning so many work weekends and it’s not their choice.

The bakers starting at some ungodly hour. The newsagents starting early

And all the retail shops with their teams ready to help us consume.

I’m so lucky that I can choose when to work.

I’m done now so we’re having a family day.

Thank you to everyone who work at weekends to make our lives easier.

What are you up to today?

SUNDAY 29 October 1,762 impressions

On Sunday, I was giving a shout-out to somebody for helping me with funnels. This is because I've been working on a funnel workshop but I've noticed that not many people complete a workshop or course, so my question today was, do you actually complete your courses?

To make the post more interesting I added a picture of me being overwhelmed.

What have you been learning recently?

Did it work or are you just stressed out because you are overwhelmed and now have too much to do?

I've been working on a funnel workshop.

It was intense and it was FREE

Some people dropped out, some people didn't complete it some people now have awesome funnels.

Funny how we are all different eh?

I now have a new funnel and an understanding of how to create them, but it got me wondering why people join things that they do not complete.

Free is easy, there's no skin in the game.

But did you know that only 5-15% finish an online course!!

What can we do to improve that statistic, or is it just a fact of life?

What are your experiences of online learning?

Let me know which courses are brilliant and which ones you have given up on.

MONDAY 30 October 1,539 impressions

On Monday, I always do my Five Ideas video, and this was no exception, but this week to change it around a little bit, I did the video in a different style and added some screenshots to break out each individual item.

I've been noticing a downturn in the number of views and reach of my posts on a Monday because I seem to be doing the same video. The weather hasn't been good, and I've been in my shed, so I thought I'd change it up a little bit. It seemed to work!

Should you create personal content on a professional platform?

This debate will run and run don't you think? If you are stuck for ideas here's 5 more for you this week.

My ideas this week are largely personal because I think we should let people know more about who we really are.

Watch the video to get some ideas for creating your own content.

So many people say this is not Facebook.

But we all know that People buy from people who they know, like, and trust so what better way to let people know than by sharing personal stuff?

We have to create some content so that..

💚 We share helpful advice

💛 We are front of mind

💚 We grow personally

💛 We help or inspire

💚 We get noticed

What will you be sharing this week?

Personal or Professional?

Previous Week

I had 913 impressions which is lower because of the shed video. Reactions were lower too, at 25 are the comments dropped like a stone down from 18 to 17. For the video, I had 275 views from 248 viewers and 92 minutes watched, which is more than last week. Interesting how the numbers are working this week.

This Week

This week I had a huge increase on last week with 1,539 impressions. Is this because of the new style? 39 reactions which is up too. And comments are back up to 55. For the video, I had 484 views from 432 viewers and 142 minutes watched, this is up about 40% from the previous week. My idea worked!

TUESDAY 31 October 1,034 impressions

On Tuesday, I was following up on a question from one of my students “Do we follow or do we connect on LinkedIn?”

So I suggested some ideas and then shared the video that I created on my YouTube channel. Now, I don't like to put links in my posts on LinkedIn because it doesn't seem to work as well, but I want more people to go to my YouTube channel, so by pointing them in that direction….. My channel is here if you want to subscribe https://15mins.day/yt

So I thought it was worth doing to see what would happen. I created an image on Canva showing the difference between follow and connect.

Should you Connect or Follow❓

I get asked this question every single time I do a presentation so here are my thoughts.

I've also produced a video. 🎥 https://lnkd.in/eYs72VXp

Here's the basic thoughts, but the video covers the hows and whys. I can also feel a blog coming on too.

CONNECT

When you connect with someone on LinkedIn, you establish a two-way relationship.

This enables you to send and receive direct messages, nurturing better communication and connection.

FOLLOW

Following on LinkedIn allows you to see and interact with another user's content and activity without the need for a two-way connection.

This is valuable for content sharing and knowledge exchange.

The bottom line?

Do you just want to see content, or do you want to make a positive connection?

Watch the video for more answers to your questions, or drop a me a DM.

Are you connected to me yet?

I had a repost!! Now the beauty of it is, that getting a repost is it's gone to a totally different location, so more people are seeing me. Another great reason to create content

WEDNESDAY 01 November 2,360 impressions

On Wednesday it was World Authors Day, so I talked about my book and I shared a load of photos from the launch party that I had last November.

I encouraged people in the post to share their favourite books, and I tagged a couple of people who were instrumental in making this happen.

It was a great post, with lots of engagement, and there are lots of people that are also writing books so they were bouncing in on the post as well.

Have you written a book? Share it! Mine is here https://15mins.day/book

Have you written a book? It's National Authors Day!!

I love books and I love authors and I am proud to call myself one too but the book launch party was one heck of a great event.

The best part of writing my book was the party, so to celebrate Authors Day here are some people who have been a huge part of my business and book journey.

If you are struggling to finish your book, why not book the venue for the party? I tell you that this was how I got mine finished 😂

Some of the people in the photos are also authors.

Surround yourself with great people eh?

Thank you to John Lamerton for the inspiration to write the book and John Espirian for not only being the best LinkedIn™️ buddy ever but for driving all the way from Wales on a dark wet November evening to join us.

Thank you to Aisling for all the amazing photos

And Thank you to everyone in the photos and to all who came. There's not enough room to thank you all, but you know who you are and you know I love you 💚 💛

THANK YOU

Who is your favourite Author?

THURSDAY 02 November 3,020 impressions

On Thursday, I talked about artificial intelligence because a new connection of mine said that they were struggling with LinkedIn because they didn't know what to write, so they've been playing with AI.

I explained to this person why I thought it was a bad idea. We need to share our personalities and authenticity.

I wondered what everybody else thought and created this post with a great question to kick it off. I had fantastic engagement on this post because everyone's talking about AI at the moment.

And the general consensus is, don't use it for comments. Use it for ideas. But not actually creating any comments or content.

I did not use an image for this post and this was my best-performing post of the week. What does that tell you?

Here is the post……

Is using AI (Artificial Intelligence) on LinkedIn better than doing nothing?

Surely being on the platform is better than not being here or does the AI stand out that you are not authentic?

I have noticed some AI comments on my posts recently.

They are easy to spot because

💚 Repeating words from the post

💛 Similar to other comments

💚 AI overuses emojis

💛 Short and snappy

I also noticed that two people added exactly the same comment🤦‍♂️

The argument for using AI is that these people are showing up and adding comments and content.

But are they harming their brand or authenticity?

What do you think?

If you are a copywriting expert like Odessa Sherreard please share your thoughts.

FRIDAY 03 November 747 impressions

Finally, on Friday, it's my gratitude post and this week I changed it up a little and put each individual image on a new Canva image and I titled each Canva image.

I always invite other people to comment on the post and share their wins and what they're grateful for.

What are cheering about this Friday?

What has happened to make you happy, or who has had an impact on your week, why not shout them out?

⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️

I love Fridays as I reflect on the week that's been and I get the chance to say thanks.

I think of all the great things that have happened and by showing gratitude when things go wrong, they are not a big deal.

Even the demise of our combi microwave🤦‍♂️

First shout to Chris Ducker for having me as his guest on his awesome podcast. He has so many amazing guests on his show that I am still pinching myself. Thank you, Chris, I cannot wait to listen back!! See you on Friday!!! ⭐️ ✅ 🙏

I met another legend this week too. Jeff Young all the way from Ohio jumped on my LinkedIn™️ Live show on Tuesday. What a lovely guy, he's still working even though he's retired!! Thank you Jeff, a real honour to have you on the show. 🙏 🦸

Big up to Dan Barker for inviting me to the 3 Counties Mastermind this week. I did a short presentation around LinkedIn™️ and we covered all kinds of cool things in a relaxed zoom with many questions coming to me.

I love these sorts of sessions so let me know if you need an enthusiastic presenter for your mastermind or event. Thank you Dan. 🙏. ⭐️

Finally, on Saturday the rain was biblical but we still went for a walk and my little grandson had so much fun. I am so lucky that his family have moved back to Devon so that we can spend more time with them ❤️

Come on, let's hear your joyful experiences from this week.

Who are you going to give a big hug to, or maybe a shout-out to say thanks for their help and support?

What are my thoughts on this week?

Not a bad week for profile views although engagement and reach are down again. But there was a lot of activity on my content, but not as much as last week because of the huge posts I had with my wedding anniversary and my comment post. Between them, they had over 10,000 impressions.

But because I am consistent I am still getting profile views and it’s these views that drive business and get people connecting and following.

Never give up. Stay consistent.

I saw a post this week asking how often we should create content.

Here is my answer.

It’s all about consistency rather than quantity.

Think of TV shows such as Strickly, or Bake Off. once a week. Same day. We know where it is and we look forward to it.

In my LinkedIn Daily Habit Workshop I suggest a strategy of once a week

But the same time and day every week

Once you’ve got into that habit then add another day

No need to post more than three times a week

NEVER post more than once a day, unless you want to detract from your previous post.

Good luck with your content and if you need a hand please connect with me on LinkedIn.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/ashley-leeds-15-minute-guy/

Here is the breakdown.

Previous week

Last week's reach was awesome, and my impressions had risen to 23,560 with an 18% increase!! My engagement the previous week was incredible, and I managed to increase on that too. I had worked hard to make my content engaging.

This week

This week's reach has dropped by nearly 30% impressions are at 18,182. Engagement has dropped too to just 721.

I need some big content ideas this week!!

Here are my five best-performing posts this week.
