Boosting Your LinkedIn Engagement: The Benefits of Reflecting on Your Weekly Content

NEW WEEK Commencing 30 September

My Weekly Blog: What Do I Do with Content Each Week?

I like to create content every single day on LinkedIn and on a Saturday I sit down and review what I did for the week. This gives me the opportunity to see what works and what doesn't. It also gives me the opportunity to review all the content and see who has been engaging with my content.

It also helps my clients and potential clients to get an understanding of how I think about content. Why I create content and ultimately gives you a few more ideas on what to write about.

I also share all of my analytics. So that you too can see what actually works and what doesn't and hopefully give you a little guidance.

Views;

Previous Week An awesome week, with 2,107 Profile Views but not surprising as I was out in front of people and therefore curiosity got them to look at my profile. Up a stonking 52% with 311 people looking at my profile in just one week!!

Views This Week My numbers this week have dropped a bit with 248 people viewing my profile this week. 2,172 people have viewed my profile in the last 90 days, but the graph says down 23% this week. Next week I have two conferences, so I am expecting a bit of an uptick!

Followers

In the previous Week

8,463 only 44 new followers this week, but still an increase! And this is organic!

This Week -

8,551thats another 88 new followers.

975 Search appearances for the previous week and 932 searches this week. Down a tad.

Follows Last Week 174

Follows This Week 174 no change. Is this because I stopped encouraging people to follow me?

SATURDAY 30 September 3,515 impressions

On Saturday, I talked about losing my phone. I was at a networking event and I lost my phone. And it created all kinds of emotions.

So I talked about that in my post. I started off with a question and ended. With a question and found out who else had lost their phone.

Obviously, I am not the only one to lose their phone because the post got loads of engagement! Have you lost your phone?

When did you last lose your phone? 😱

It's quite a shock and you have a load of emotions. Did you feel sick, or were you cool calm and collected? 🤮

We've all done it eh?

It happened to me on Thursday at the awesome LinkedIn™️ Local in Sidmouth.

Luckily I was surrounded by a group of awesome people, many of who are great friends and others, all though we've only just met, I hope will become friends too.

I needed my laptop and was able to connect to my phone for internet, so I knew it was in the building.

Everyone was lifting cushions and getting on their hands and knees to find it, but no luck.

The annoying thing was that I didn't get many photos 🤦‍♂️

Or maybe that's a good thing?

I eventually retraced my steps and where I put my phone down (on top of a sofa) it slid behind the only cushion that people didn't look under.

The feeling of relief when I found was amazing. And the people in the room gave a huge cheer and a round of applause too.

How lovely to know everyone cares.

I am truly blessed. Thank you to everyone for the search.

Here's a photo of my partner in crime, Odessa Sherreard and the truly remarkable Geraldine, who was a real champion on Thursday. She knows why ❤️ 🙏

What's your horrific mobile phone story then?

💚 💛

SUNDAY 1 October 4,172 impressions

On Sunday, I created a short video of my evening the night before where I was a rock god. The video shows me playing with my band and getting the audience to sing along.

So my question was, do you love live music? It's my passion and I love it when other people love music too. It's one of the biggest videos I think I've ever done because I managed to get 1,304 views of the video.

Do you LOVE music? What about LIVE music?

It's my passion and last night everyone in the pub sang along to a song by Four Non-Blondes. What's Up. An absolute classic.

What's your go to song?

To be part of a band is a huge honour and to stand up in front of a pub full of music lovers with my mates is an amazing experience.

You can see in the video just how much I am enjoying myself bringing joy to other people.

I needed this gig last night and I felt so much better from singing my heart out and seeing so many people having a great time.

When was your last gig?

Who makes you sing your heart out?

MONDAY 2 October 1,595 impressions

On Monday, I always do my content idea review. So on Sunday, I went up to a hill, put my yellow t-shirt on and did my thing to video. I love doing these videos. I love thinking of ideas. But the thing is, because I do it consistently, people love seeing them too.

Do you have a regular feature for your content?

What could you do?

Do you think that you should only write boring business content on here?

Do you pull your hair out trying to be original, or come up with an idea that will get engagement?

I have been writing content every day for over two years.

I like to share my ideas so that more people create content. Therefore each week I create a video.

Only 1% of LinkedIn™️ members create content.

So to stand out will not take long. Here are some reasons to create content

💚 Audience Engagement

💛 Recruiting for your team

💚 Lead Generation

💛 Networking

There are plenty more reasons too. But if only 1% are creating, you can be better than 99% of people on LinkedIn™️

How cool is that?

And you do not need to create content EVERY day like me.

Once a week qualifies you as a creator!!

What's stopping you?

Previous Week

Impressions are up by 100% this week at 2,302. Reactions are almost doubled too at 42 reactions. Comments have increased too at 38. Some great engagement this week, but then again I had a few people in the room watching me make the video.

Because of the engagement views of this video are up by more than 200 at 576 views and a similar increase for viewers at 512. Twice as many minutes were watched too at 200 minutes watched.

It’s all about making the content different.

This Week

This week I had 1,595 impressions so down quite a bit on last week. This week I was not in front of a live audience! Reactions are lower at 28 but comments only 1 lower at 37. For the video, I had 511 views from 462 viewers and 167 minutes watched. Which isn’t too few than last week.

TUESDAY 3 October 2,081 impressions

On Tuesday I talked about my money-back guarantee for my LinkedIn Daily Habit Workshop.

I don't talk much about what I do regarding my workshops, but I thought if I talked about a money-back guarantee, I may get people asking about it.

So I asked if people love the money-back guarantee, but also put a little cheeky question in there to see if people thought it was a marketing gimmick. I explained what I did, I explained how it works and I had some amazing comments and engagement.

But nobody booked on my next workshop.

Do you LOVE a Money-Back Guarantee?

Or do you feel it is a marketing gimmick from a desperate business trying to get sales of a dodgy product?

Take my LinkedIn Daily Habit Workshop for example.

I launched my Money-Back Guarantee nearly 2 years ago with a few simple terms.

But since the spring, I have changed it!! 🥳

It is now

⭐️ "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back!" ⭐️

💚 Not dependent on any results

💛 No ifs, buts or maybes

💚 No Arguments

💛 No messing

Just a full refund.

Do you offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

Or have you been given your money back because you were not fully satisfied?

Let me know your thoughts.

WEDNESDAY 4 October 1,800 impressions

On Wednesday, I noticed the conference agenda and was thrilled to find myself featured prominently on the front page. Sharing the stage with exceptional speakers heightened my excitement for the upcoming conference.

So I started off asking, do you wonder how you can be so lucky? Because to me, this seems like luck. I know I work hard. I know I've created a lot of buzz around what I do. But it still seems lucky that I'm stood up against some amazing speakers.

Are you lucky because of the work that you put in?

Do you wonder how you can be so lucky?

I sometimes have to pinch myself because of the amazing things that I get up to.

I'm on my way to the very first Profit First UK Live event at Xero HQ in Milton Keynes. I'll be meeting up with some great friends from the Accountants & Bookkeepers space.

Plus I'll be hearing Amanda C. Watts do her talk and then The Profit First Guy himself, Micheal Michalowicz.

I'm travelling up in that direction because tomorrow I'll be speaking at the TAG Community Annual Conference in Warick.

But have you seen the line-up?

💚 Mark Ormrod

💛 Rebecca Benneyworth MBE

💚 Nigel Risner

💛 And me 😁

All thanks to the organisation of Mark Allen and his fantastic team.

I am so excited for the next two days and am humbled that I've been asked to these two awesome events.

Thank you to whoever made this possible. Thank you for watching over me. I still cannot believe it.

Where have you been lucky like this?

THURSDAY 5 October 2,322 impressions

Thursday, I actually- gave a speech at the TAG conference and for the event, I printed some worksheets. I used Canva to print these worksheets and I was pretty pleased with them therefore I asked the question, do other people use Canva?

Got a lot of reactions, and a lot of people shared their thoughts and ideas about graphic designers and Canva. I did also ask if people could shout out their favourite graphic designers which is always great to get more engagement. I really do not mind people sharing their “experts” on my content. It all helps us grow eh?

Do you use Canva for your images and printed materials?

Or do you go to a design house to create all your marketing, images, brochures and workbooks?

My use of Canva recently exploded and I cannot get enough 😂

I love it. I love experimenting and trying new things too.

Here's me ready for my talk this afternoon (This is my first ever Selfie in front of a mirror) with my worksheets.

My talk today is about not failing on LinkedIn™️ so I've created a worksheet so the delegates can take notes.

I've also included QR codes so that they have access to my training videos to fix the four main issues I'll share.

This is a modification to my workbooks and I hope I get an equally warm reception.

By using Canva, I've included my branding and personality; to be fair, they didn't take me too much time either.

What do you do when you need to create something eye-catching?

Should I be using a Graphic Designer next time?

Who would you recommend?

FRIDAY 6 October 1,846 impressions

And finally, on Friday, I do my gratitude post. I like to share what I ahev done for the week and reflect on all the positive things so that I stop focussing on the negative. By doing this on a Friday I am trying to inspire other people to focus on positivity too.

Do you show gratitude?

Have you had a good week?

What are you grateful for this week? Or WHO has made a positive impact on you that you wish to share with us?

It's all about focusing on the big things and letting the 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗴𝗼.

⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️

Every Friday I share my gratitude and thanks to all the fantastic people in my network who have lifted me up over the last week.

This week has been exceptional.

I'm still buzzing

First off was guesting on the wonderful High Vibe Podcast with the delightful Dawn Owen on Tuesday and it's live already. She is great fun and we had a lovely time chatting about my passion for LinkedIn™️. Thank you, Dawn, you're a pro. ❤️ 🙏

On Wednesday I travelled to the TAG Conference via Milton Keynes to be with the amazing Duncan Lloyd and Tim Seymour for their First Profit First LIVE event.

OMG. How many superstars in the room? I will not tag as there are too many, but OMG I had loads of hugs and many HERO moments. But more importantly, some really solid takeaways to improve my business.

Duncan and Tim, you have something here guys!! Thank you so much ⭐️ 🙏

Yesterday saw me speaking at the TAG Community Annual Conference in front of 120 awesome accountants. Thank you Mark Allen for adding me to the program with so many awesome speakers including another hero of mine, Mark Ormrod MBE. I also got to hang out with Nigel Risner. He's so naughty.😂

Thank you Mark and to your INCREDIBLE TEAM. WOW. 🙏🥳 🙏 ❤️ 🙏

Thank you Louisa Willcox for featuring me in your awesome Financially Savvy Magazine. AND for putting me on the front cover. BOOM!! Thank you 💚 🙏

And if that wasn't enough.

12 years ago I took my daughter to University in Wales. I cried all the way home and for several months after that. She made her life in the valleys with her wonderful husband and now their little son.

But today they complete on a house purchase here in Devon. Yes I am crying as I write this. How freaking awesome?

What are you grateful for?

Please share what you have been up to this week?

What are my thoughts on this week?

That was a belter of a week and brings to a close all my travelling around the country to events. I can catch up now and have a bit of a breather. Because of all the travelling and the in real life meetings I am creating a wave of connections and people taking selfies with me.

This always generates more content and interest. In the background, other people are creating content featuring me which in turn is driving people to look at my profile and see my content.

It just goes to show that we need to do much more than just sit on LinkedIn, but getting into a great daily habit is a good starting point.

Here is the breakdown.

Previous week

Last week saw a huge increase in impressions to 22,144. However, the chart says a drop by 1% My engagement says it’s also lower by 8% but the numbers show different at an impressive 824.

Because I was busy with training this week many people were checking out my content. That always helps.

This week

This week has seen a decrease in impressions to 21,318. That’s a drop of 17% My engagement says it’s also lower by 31% down to 655. This is because I was not on LinkiedIn so much because of the travelling and sitting in conference rooms.

Here are my five best-performing posts this week.
